Generosity (2 Corinthians 8:1-5)

Pastor Kevin reminds us from 2 Corinthians 8:1-5, that true Christian generosity is not forced by human pressure. Instead, it is the natural overflow of a heart transformed by God’s grace and fully surrendered to the Lord. Through the example of the Macedonian churches, we see that generosity is not measured by wealth, comfort, or abundance. It flows from joy, faith, obedience, and a desire to be part of God’s kingdom work.

Generosity (2 Corinthians 8:1-5)

Based on 3 John, Pastor Kevin explores three distinct leadership styles present within the local church: Gaius "The Encourager," Diotrephes "The Dictator," and Demetrius "The Example." The reality is that no church is perfect because it is composed of imperfect people. True Christian faithfulness is proven by walking in the truth, supporting gospel workers, and choosing godly examples over self-serving leadership.

3 Leaders 1 Church (3 John 1:1-15)

At first, Old Faithful may not look very impressive. It may just look like a mound in a field. But it remains faithful to do what it was designed to do. In the same way, a believer may think, “I am just one person. What can I do?” But God has placed each person where they are for a reason. He has given each believer gifts, talents, relationships, experiences, and a circle of influence. Wherever God has placed you, be faithful. If He has placed you in a workplace, be faithful. If He has placed you in school, be faithful. If He has called you to teach, serve, lead, pray, encourage, or give, be faithful. God rewards faithfulness. Pastor Kevin teaches us in 2 John 1:1-13 to remain faithful to the teachings of Christ, walk in truth and love, and serve with discernment.

Old Faithful (2 John 1:1-13)

In this message from 1 John 5:13-21, Pastor Kevin reminds believers that salvation is not something we have to guess about. John wrote so Christians could say with confidence, “I know I have eternal life.” Because salvation comes through faith in Jesus Christ and not by works, believers can rest in the assurance that they belong to God.

I Know (1 John 5:13-21)

Pastor Kevin reminds the church that every believer has a testimony, but even greater than our testimony is God’s testimony about His Son. Through the water, the blood, and the Spirit, God clearly declares that Jesus is the Son of God. The question is whether we believe Him. John teaches that those who believe in Jesus have life, while those who reject God’s testimony are calling Him a liar. The message points us back to the assurance of salvation and reminds us that eternal life is found only in Jesus Christ.

Testimony (1 John 5:6-12)

Just as physical birthmarks or inherited family traits provide evidence of our physical lineage, spiritual “birthmarks” offer Christians complete assurance of their place in God’s family. Pastor Kevin explores 1 John 5:1-5 referencing three foundational markers of a true Christian that John teaches: Believing in Jesus, Obeying His Commandments, and Receiving The Victory. These marks provide assurance that salvation is secure in Christ.
