This summer at Trinity Baptist Church, we welcomed 60 children and had over 50 incredible volunteers for a week of Vacation Bible School. Using the Wonder Junction curriculum from Answers in Genesis, kids took a journey through the life of Jesus, from His miraculous birth to the promise of His return. It was a week packed with worship, learning, laughter, and meaningful moments that pointed hearts to Christ.

Each night started with the pledge, followed by a short film that introduced the theme for the evening. After that, the kids split into groups and rotated through different stations: games, crafts, a puppet show, and Bible time. We also shared a meal together each night, which gave everyone a chance to slow down, laugh, and connect.

Throughout the week, the kids explored five key “wonders” from Jesus’ life. On day one, we looked at the wonder of His birth—how Jesus came into the world in such a miraculous and meaningful way. Day two focused on the wonder of His childhood, and what He was like as a young boy growing up. On day three, we learned about the wonder of His ministry, where Jesus performed amazing miracles and shared powerful truth. Day four covered the wonder of His death and resurrection, how He gave His life for us and rose again. And on the final day, we talked about the wonder of His return and how we can live with hope as we wait for Jesus to come again.

The kids didn’t just hear these stories—they engaged with them. They asked thoughtful questions, shared what they were learning, and connected the lessons to their own lives. They also built friendships, encouraged one another, and created memories that will last.

We’re so grateful for every volunteer who helped bring this week to life and for every family who made space for their kids to be part of it. Most of all, we’re thankful for the way God moved in the hearts of these children. It truly was a week full of wonder.
